Calgary Contents assisted us immensely after the Calgary flood of 2013 that severely damaged our Elbow Park home which required millions of dollars in restorations. They were at all times professional and easy to work with.
Most importantly they helped us in every aspect of recovering our contents. They photographed and inventoried every item with great attention to detail. When ask to find especially valuable items which were covered in 12” of sediment, they took great care in recovering these items. There was a valuable data disk which was recovered and restored and it was Mel’s quick action that saved that disk.
They also were empathetic and kind to us at every step of the cleanup. They took so much stress off our minds. We could see we were in extremely qualified hands. Their professional and kind approach to assisting us kept us from breaking into tears due the enormous stress caused by the devastating damage to our home.
I can say without exception there were no errors in collection, or missed items. When we asked about an item they had it recorded, knew where it was stored and the current state of its condition. They provided us timely copies of the inventory lists both by email and hard copy.They worked closely with the insurance company and the appraiser measuring a fair balance and opinion between all parties. They were extremely skilled and knowledgeable regarding restoration of our art and pictures. Although some were not recoverable they went to great lengths to exhaust all possibilities to restore our valued pieces of art. They were always prompt in returning calls.
They also were extremely helpful in suggesting and implementing other remedies outside of their scope of work, such carpet and furniture cleaners, assisting in procuring dehumidifier and air conditioning units. We wouldn’t hesitate referring Calgary Contents to anyone requiring their services.
